A Uluwatu View

During sunset I went to check out the temple at Uluwatu Cliffs in Bali. It was a very cool place to watch 1 million people shooting photos and watching the monkeys steal from the people who didn't follow the directions. So amazing on how many people read the directions to take off jewelry and hats, etc and they still complain when a monkey runs off with the sunglasses.

This wasn't like going to the supermarket for pork this was road side and what is really cool is the whole in the pigs neck!

A locals perspective

Following the locals around at low tide during the full moon was very interesting to see there fishing style. This wasn't fishing with poles and lines and expensive reels, this was more like dedication and patience. This man was around his 70's and shredded with the sickest hand made metal hooks on the end of these rods. He would pull out crabs, squid, and all types of creatures who hide in the reef.

Waking up in Bali

For the past week now I have been waking up by the birds and sunshine of beautiful Bali. Yea this isn't any Ritz Carlton by any means but to people who are not materialistic and don't need white linen sheets this place is for you. The name of our little commune is Ayu Guna and it is located at Padang Padang. This will be my base camp for the next few weeks, with day trips to other islands. This place is all I need!!

In Bali for the remainder of summer

After working the front desk of a motel for a few months dealing with New Yorkers to make ends meet, it was time to not give a shit I can't pay my bills anyway and put everything on the credit card and not care anymore. This next month will be spent enjoying life and surfing while in paradise. One of these days I will figure out what my calling in life is... weather it be working in McDonalds or in a surf shop, I sure know the photo world is fucked. Politics and ass kissing isn't my cup of tea..... Only time well tell.
