Here are a few pics from my trip to Costa Rica with some friends. My buddy Derek from The Surfers View got us all hooked up at the Wavehouse in Playa Negra. I wasn't expecting it to be this luxurious... We be balling out eating some fresh fish, oh yea my buddy really did order fish sticks down there and I called him out on it and his response was I didn't think that the fish was going to be fresh.. hahah Jesse your an idiot did you think they imported the fish to Costa from a farm in Nebraska? Seriously

Smiley Creek Idaho

After being in Tahoe for 2 days it was time to go meet up with Scotty and get some shots rolling in the backcountry on a Smith Team Trip. This place is awesome with a very laid back atmosphere. Every morning eat breakfast, gas up the sled, cruise out 15 miles into heaven and spend the day making laughs and capturing good times.

Some Inspiration

I grabbed this off of my Iphone at Wes Jones house! After a few days of hanging out with friends I cruised by Flow then the next day duty called to be back in Tahoe. I was on my way to the beach and got a turn around call to repack and be out right away back to south lake.

San Diego and the Tsunami Warning

So Cal is an awesome place to break up some time and enjoy some of the finer things in life like burritos, waves and good friends! I have to shout out a big thanks all of 1010 who went thru a recent divorce and relocation change. Encinitas is the new territory where my buddys now reside and where my couch got relocated to as well. To "Reg Bob" and his roommates from SurfRide thank you for the couch space, mini ramp and a cool environment! Eric and Wes you dudes are the shit, and Cole maybe schedule works out better next time!

Finally making it home

So the day I was leaving this was a very hectic day.. no bullshit! First off we had to be rowed back to the dock, load up the van and start the 20 miles drive to the airport. As you get within 5 miles of the airport everyone has to unload the car put everything through security, get the car bomb scanned and go through a medal detector. Reload the car after the bomb dogs had a field day with my equipment then continue to drive past 1,000s of machine guns pointed at you. Get ripped off flying my overweight bags then get escorted by dude with machine guns onto the plane. Off to New Delhi for 4 hours for dinner and back to another airport. Almost got arrested in New Delhi after security threw my laptop case with my hard-drives of the whole trip. Followed by a 16 hr flight to Chicago then a 5 hr layover followed by a 4 hr flight to reno then a 4 hr drive home due to traffic.. A long day for sure.. Damn it feels nice to be back in Tahoe for 4 days!!

Off to a war zone

After I returned to Lake Tahoe from Minnesota I was happy to be home for 2 days to change my underwear and go back to the airport. This time it didn't matter that I hadn't brought deotorant on this trip.
The flight felt like forever, Reno, denver, chicago, new delhi, then next morning fly back out to Srinagar. Got escorted off the planes by military dudes strapped up waiting for something to pop off. The craziest airport security I have ever gone through. Check my blog off of my website for some more images from this trip.

Mayhem in Argentina

After some days with bad weather and other days with good weather there always is room for party. Work hard party hard is a common way to live, as long as you can keep it all together. So we left the mountain to find out that the others were way more drunk then us leaving the after shred party buffet. Scotty thought it was a good idea to start slowing making holes in the door, the hotel manager told us to quiet down, while the TM Mutty was being responsible for returning some borrowed gear down in town. Upon his return the 4 delinquents in our room had to turn in our passports and sit through some funny noise and a ration of shit from the police. As we thought it was possible to remove the broken door from the room and put it next to the dumpster, it would have worked if they didn't see Sarka carrying it down the stairs. Here is Scotty and his door that he bought!!!!

Flow Snowboards is off to Zurick on the move

Zurick Airport, Switzerland. The trip started in Mammoth Lakes, Ca with the Flow international Team. We shot all day from 9 am to 5 then ate some snacks went back to the hill for a evening sunset shoot then right to the airport . Arrived at 3am to get on our 6am flight. Flew to Denver drank some beers in the lounge then headed off to DC airport to miss our connecting flight, hotel for the night next flight was the following evening. After airport security problems with a few of us being typsy our flight got underway to fly for only 20 minutes then turned around for tech problems. Thinking there computers were going to be fixed we then had to re-ticket and get onto a new flight and wait for baggage to be moved over. This image was on our way thru the airport to the Train Station.

Japan

For the past 14 days I have been in Japan with Cole on behalf of Oakley. The first day I flew in then checked my emails after there wasn't anyone to pick me up at the Narita Airport in Tokyo. Seeing that Cole had missed his flight from Switzerland to meet with me in Japan due to airlines charging $3,000 for overweight baggage. I then hopped a shuttle to the domestic airport Haneda which is also in Tokyo to then fly up to the North Island. Luckily meet up with Nicholas Muller and a filmer Sandy. 2 days later we were ready for our next spot and finally get to the mountains to start doing what we do and shredding some POW! After leaving the resort Asahidake we left for civilization to Sapporo for the Toyota Big Air. Tomorrow we head back into the mountains to shoot for a few days prior flying back to Tokyo. While I was packing for Sapporo, Cole got this image of me in my portable home.
